Below are some guidelines for becoming a member of the Space Coast Ice Hockey Referees Association and a USA Hockey Certified Ice Hockey Referee.

	Get in touch with the Space Coast Referees Association President, Mark Carabia and tell him of your intentions.
	Join the Space Coast Referee Association. All it takes is a small yearly fee (currently $10.00).
	Become a USA Hockey Certified Official.

		You must attend a USA Hockey Officials Certification class. Classes are held at various rinks usually during the months of
		August thru November.

	CERTIFICATION CLASS:
		Lasts one day usually from 8 AM to 5 PM
		Consists of both on ice and classroom instruction
		New rule changes are covered and clarified
		Given by USA Hockey Certified Instructors
		Cost is only 9hrs of your time and $10.00 for administration expenses.
		At the end of the class you receive a registration form and situational manual

		Fill out and mail the registration form to USA Hockey.  Note this can now be done on-line
		In the mail you will receive a rule book and an open book test
		If you pass the test you will receive a membership card and a patch for your jersey

Congrats!! You are now an official member of the Space Coast Referees Association and a Certified USA Hockey official!!
